Morgan at Design Junction 2016

Rio Tables

We are delighted to be involved with the London Design Festival this year, exhibiting within Cubitt House on Stand A19 at Design Junction, 22nd – 25th September.

3D Printing

The new Rio tables, designed by studio INTEGRATE and Morgan Studio, use 3D printing to create sculptural products with a jewel like aesthetic. The new side and coffee tables feature a glass top that floats over an intricate 3D printed ‘lacework’ basket and solid timber legs. The ideal partner to the Rio 3D printed chairs, the new tables offer a combination of practicality, ground-breaking aesthetics and innovative techniques, with a rational structure and form. They are a unique application of 3D printing in commercial furniture, developed by architect and new technologies designer Mehran Gharleghi in collaboration with Morgan.

“We aimed to create designs that explore new possibilities and combine it with exquisite craftsmanship. Their dynamic forms capture your mind and their handcrafted wooden elements feel familiar to your eyes and touch. We used design innovation to make similar looking objects with same materials behave differently for the right reasons. They become flexible as a comfortable chair and rigid as a strong table, while maintaining coherent aesthetics of ONE collection.” Says Mehran Gharleghi

Manhattan Napbooth

Nap booth

Also new is the Manhattan Nap Booth, designed by Katerina Zachariades, creating a haven of calm and allowing you to rest in a public or office space. The booths have been designed with the optimal ergonomics to enable the correct posture and circulation for relaxation. They also offer fretwork screens to create further seclusion and sanctuary. Featuring an aircharge® unit, it enables you to set your phone alarm for a power nap and re-charge your creative batteries.

Kyoto

Bench seating

Kyoto benches, designed by Morgan Studio will also be a star attraction this year having just been awarded a 2016 Design Guild Mark. Inspired by Japanese gardens and bridges, Kyoto is a system of linear benches that interlock to create informal seating. The Kyoto benches intersect to create asymmetric, dual height reception area seating compositions that, like the bridges they’re inspired by, encourage you to take a less direct route from A to B; pause, sit and take in your surroundings from a new perspective.

Drinks

We will be hosting an evening of drinks at our Design Junction Stand A19, on Wednesday 21st. There will also be an installation by British artist Remi Rough at our Clerkenwell Showroom.
