Morgan’s LDF 2017 Review

Design Junction 2017

During LDF this year we managed to spread ourselves across London, taking part in the festival with an event and installations at our showroom, stands at Design Junction and 100% Design, as well as being featured on the Design Guild Mark stand and Andrew Muirhead’s stand.

In case you were unable to visit us, or attend our events, here are some of the highlights of our busy week!

We kicked off the week with a sample sale at our Clerkenwell showroom on the Tuesday evening, featuring ex-display Morgan furniture, and of course, an open bar! Alongside our product we collaborated with four designers and makers from Craft Central, exhibiting work from mirrors and rugs, to ceramics.

Our Showroom also faced an entire rearrange to include our most recent product, as well as some refreshed product in new fabrics and styling. If you cast your eyes upwards, you would notice two new lighting installations. The main installation across our window frontage are Canopy lights by Haberdashery, and on our plinths are lights by Curiousa&Curiousa.

As well as Mark McClures striking ‘Surface’ art installation across our main wall, we have a new art feature – a stunning triptych of pineapple sculptures made entirely of paper, by British artist Andrew MacGregor.

Over at Design Junction we launched our Goodwood tables of varying heights with glass or marble tops, these are an extension of our Goodwood collection and compliment the lounge chairs. Also on display were our recent Havana and Valencia collections, as well as our 3D printed Rio table.

At 100% Design we exhibited as part of Clerkenwell Presents, as well as on the Design Guild Mark stand, with our award winning Rio table, in collaboration with studio INTEGRATE. On the Andrew Muirhead stand were two of our new Havana chairs, upholstered in Muirhead leather with a botanical print designed by Michael Angove. This is a recent collaboration featuring new bespoke leather printing technology that meets contract specifications.

If you missed us during LDF 2017, please feel free to pop in to our Clerkenwell showroom where you will find our current installations and products featured during design week.
