Expanded Eye ‘Transcend’ Private View

Once again our Clerkenwell showroom has experienced a great transformation, this time, by British artist duo Expanded Eye.

Free-thinking multidisciplinary creative duo, Expanded Eye, have a distinct storytelling approach. Their unmistakable style can be found worldwide in the form of paintings, sculpture, installation, murals, and skin as a living canvas.

Rooted in surrealism, reclaimed materials juxtapose with highly stylised painted imagery, geometry and intricate line work to form carefully constructed compositions. Following a stream of consciousness; disjointed figures, shapes and symbols embody the duo’s trademark abstract and poetic visual language, allowing the viewers to embark on a journey and immerse themselves in the universe of Expanded Eye. Fusing a myriad of thoughts and materials, the results are an installation with both purpose and meaning.

Spanning across our 10m long, double height main wall, Expanded Eye’s installation ‘Transcend’ is their largest to date. As well as the main installation, there are a number of other works on display, including sculptures and a triptych.

Thank you to everyone that joined us last week for the private view of ‘Transcend’, by artist duo Expanded Eye. It was great to see so many familiar and new faces; we hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did!
