Industrial Engineer
the role
PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Production efficiency: undertake projects to improve production according to Lean principles

New product introduction: manage the process to ensure swift and accurate introduction to production

Production operation: support Production Manager in the day to day operation of scheduling, including holding meetings with sales and purchasing in his absence.

Distribution operation: check departmental progress against required plan.

Quality: review and establish benchmarks, keep record or rework and waste, improve the quality of the product for each department.

Lean training: gain and interpret knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques with the objective of introducing them to the Company. Also assist in machinery review and updating.

Produce reports for above and routing documents for production

Assist in general production issues, to include equipment and building maintenance.

SKILLS BASE REQUIRED:

Excellent planning and organisation ability
Excellent time management
Good people skills (able to deal with all levels of the organisation chart)
Able to analyse problems and suggest concise solutions for evaluation
Able to work well in a team as well as individually
Be able to work to deadlines and prioritise work accordingly
Enthusiasm and drive to implement change in working practises and attitude
Computer literate in Excel and Word and have an ability to research new subject areas either directly or indirectly

Business Development Manager

Morgan Contract Furniture has been enjoying considerable sales growth over the last 36 months, driven by designs which are innovative and fit for purpose, together with a management ethos and production performance which is robust and ruthlessly reliable.

We wish to build on this success by recruiting to our team a senior sales person experienced in, known to and respected by Interiors professionals in order to be able to expand our sales in currently under exploited sectors.

This person is most likely already successful in a comparable role with a complementary interiors supplier and able to transfer those skills and knowledge to furniture.

A remuneration package is available appropriate to that degree of experience, and anticipated sales success.

Good rates of pay for the right candidate who must be able to demonstrate in depth experience in upholstery. Experience within a prototype environment would be an advantage.

Wood Machinists

Experience required on a variety of machines, particularly Spindle work, and also including Router, Four Cutter, Linear Shaper, Cross Cutter and Bandsaws.
