Rodney Fitch is the founder and Chairman of Fitch.

Rodney Fitch founded his own retail and product design practice in 1972. In 1982 it became the first design business to be fully quoted on the London Stock Exchange.

In 1994 Rodney Fitch resigned from Fitch in order to ‘start again’ with a smaller, more focused design firm specializing in branded retail and entertainment environments and communications for clients in Europe and Asia Pacific.

During a distinguished career that has spanned nearly forty years, Fitch has also been active in the evolution of design education and the arts. He is Deputy Chairman of the London Institute, helping to manage Europe’s largest collegiate university of the arts; has served as a member of the Council of the Royal College of Art and as a past President of the Designers and Art Directors Association and of the Chartered Society of Designers. He has been a trustee of the Victoria and Albert Museum and is now Chairman of V & A Enterprises, the museum’s commercial business. He was awarded a CBE in 1990 for his influence on the British design industry.

In November 2003 Rodney returned to Fitch as Chairman. In rejoining the company he founded, Rodney is an invaluable nexus between the firm’s long legacy of creative excellence and its commitment to unsurpassed creativity in designing brand experiences today.
