Morgan’s LDF 2016 Review
After a busy week surrounded and saturated with design, we thought we would share some of our festival highlights!
Taking a divide and conquer approach, the Morgan studio team split up to explore; We found we particularly enjoyed the Green Interiors vibrant stand at 100% Design! From living walls and hanging plants, to shelving units designed to include both plants and office storage, bringing wellbeing to the workplace. A couple of lighting companies also caught our eye, including Rothchild & Bickers superb installation at a pop-up showroom in Old Street Underground station and By Luum’s installations at John Cullen Lighting in Chelsea Design Quarter, including Raindrop lights that glimmered in the brilliant sunshine.
Whilst our Clerkenwell showroom was open as usual and bustling with people, we also exhibited at Design Junction, at it’s brand new Kings Cross location. On display were some of our latest designs, including the Manhattan Nap booths, 3D printed Rio tables and our Design Guild Mark Award winning Kyoto linear bench system with brass detailing. We felt the new Cubitt house exhibition space was a real success and were really pleased to be surrounded by such an exciting array of stands.
Over at 100% Design, Mehran Gharleghi gave an informative presentation on 3D printing, design and innovation. The presentation featured our 3D printed Rio collection, designed in collaboration with Mehran. Our Kyoto bench was also featured on the Design Guild Mark Stand, alongside the other 2016 award winners.
Thank you to everyone that attended our drinks party on the Wednesday evening, and our press breakfast on the Thursday morning, we really enjoyed seeing you all on our stand and hosting the events! If you missed us at LDF, please do visit our Clerkenwell showroom, for a hello, coffee and tour!
