Morgan London was born from a desire to celebrate and champion British design and this year we are delighted to invite British artist Corin Kennington to our beautiful, double-height, light-bathed showroom; proudly poised in the heart of Clerkenwell.
London-based designer and artist Corin Kennington has been creating bold, hand-painted murals and letterforms that have contributed to the visual landscape of London for years. His work, inspired by the abstraction and detailing of type found in his everyday surroundings, explores type as shapes and forms as opposed to legible and functional letters or words.
Corin’s portfolio features large-scale painted lettering and wall murals commissioned by clients, as well as smaller, detailed pieces of artwork that play with light and texture. These artworks showcase Corin’s ability to masterfully manipulate letterforms into unique designs that seamlessly blend with their surroundings.
The ‘Verso’ collection is reverse glass painted onto 4mm toughened glass, creating a stunning visual effect that accentuates the artist’s expert use of light and texture. Beyond his artistic pursuits, Corin has a background in sign-painting, a skill that has undoubtedly influenced his approach to letterforms and design. His attention to detail and dedication to his craft, is earning him a reputation as one of London’s most talented artists and designers.
Whether creating large-scale murals or smaller, more intricate pieces of art, Corin’s work continues to inspire and captivate audiences. One of Corin’s latest installations, ‘Verso’, will debut with an exclusive private view at our Clerkenwell showroom on Tuesday 23rd May, as we celebrate the return of Clerkenwell Design Week 2023, showcasing his skill, vision and ability to push the boundaries of design and create something truly exceptional.
